Assistant Accountant- Donegal- Permanent
Our client is a highly reputable and successful Engineering company with a portfolio of clients stretching across Ireland, The U.K., Europe and The U.S.A. where they service and cater to the large scale industrial and commercial markets. Due to continued growth and the increase in their workload, they wish to appoint an experienced and qualified Assistant Accountant, this role will be based at their plant in Co. Donegal.
Reporting directly to the Company Accountant your duties will encompass a diverse range of accounts related responsibilities. You will display a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· The range of functions you will undertake in the role will include:
· Assist in the preparation of Management Accounts
· Preparation of VAT Returns
· Inter-Company Reconciliations
· Stock Reconciliations and Analysis
· Preparation of Monthly Bank Reconciliations
· Accounts Payables duties
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
· A minimum of 3 year’s relevant experience in a similar position
· Experience in a Manufacturing/High volume environment
· Accounting Technician Qualification or 3rd level qualification
