Purpose of Job:

 

Responsible for the management of all aspects of the Restaurant and cashier function at all times during shift

 

Experience/Qualifications

 

Essential:

·         Experience within an Assistant Restaurant Manager role

·         Proven experience of leading others

·         Good communication and organisational skills

·         5 GCSEs at Grade C and above to include Maths and English

·         Customer Service Skills

·         Ability to work in a fast paced environment requiring flexible working and a genuine willingness to help guests and colleagues in the hotel

 

Desirable:

·         Experience within the hospitality industry

·         Food Hygiene qualification

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Main Duties:

 

·         Responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the Restaurant during the shift

·         Greet and seat guests in the Restaurant.  Ensure Supervisory cover on the door at all times

·         Ensure table service is being delivered in a friendly and efficient manner

·         Liaise with the relevant kitchen supervisor to ensure that the food is served to the highest standard

·         Ensure that policies and procedures are known and adhered to, that team members are fully aware of special promotions and procedures that are introduced and that a high level of communication exists between the team and other departments

·         Maximise sales and ensure team upsell in order to enhance sales, ie, desserts, drinks, etc

·         Deal with guest enquires ensuring guest satisfaction

·         Assist in the completion of rosters and holiday lists for all permanent and casual employees and completion of wage timesheets in an accurate and timely fashion

·         Responsible for the correct care, storage and upkeep of all equipment in their area

·         Carry out customer retention policy and communication hotel services to staff

·         Ensure staff wear clean, suitable uniform at all times

·         Ensure a high standard of personal hygiene and grooming

·         Deal with guest complaints in a friendly and efficient manner ensuring guest satisfaction at all times

·         Up-keep of the equal opportunities policy to ensure that there is a neutral working environment

·         Participate in training and personnel exercises designed to improve standards and performance

·         Work in accordance with standard procedures within each department

·         Keep staff/work areas tidy, safe and report any hazard, accident, loss or damage to management and observe all requirements under Health and Safety legislation

·         Undertake overall responsibility for ensuring cash handling procedures are being followed, and to ensure that the tills balance at the end of shift
