Credit Controller, Manufacturing Company, Donegal, Salary Negotiable
Your new company
You will work for an established business based in Donegal who have been trading for over 30 years. The group of companies has centralised financial, purchasing and administration control with dedicated sales and operations teams for each division who are overseen by a central steering team.
Your new role
As Credit Controller you will join a dynamic, innovative and hardworking team. You will work alongside the existing Financial Control team and Managing Director to control and maintain the debtors ledger providing accurate and timely financial information to the management team
Your responsibilities will include: maintain all aspects of the Debtors ledger, timely input of information to Sage and to ensure the accuracy of the information; maintain contact with the customers to ensure all invoices are cleared for payment; timely and effective collection of all debts and customer payments; resolving any queries around outstanding invoices both internally and externally; ensure that all invoices are processed at regular monthly intervals; creation of monthly statements; negotiation of repayment plans; setting up new customer accounts and checking credit ratings and providing reports and information to internal departments.
What you’ll need to succeed
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a commercial environment
- A high degree of IT proficiency, preferably with experience in Sage and Microsoft Office
- Ability to establish and maintain good customer relationships at all levels
- Ability to reconcile complex accounts and have an excellent attention to detail
- Ability to plan and prioritise workloads to agreed deadlines
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Calm, confident manner to handle potentially uncomfortable conversations

This position is a maternity leave cover with the possibility of becoming permanent. You will initially work part-time, 3 full days per week or 5 half days working 22 hours, with the likelihood of progressing to full-time hours.
