ROLE TITLE: Customer Services Representative – Contact Team

REPORTS TO: Contact Team Manager

DEPARTMENT: Operations – Life and Pension Services

SPECIFIC ROLE DETAILS

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a front office team in ensuring that a first class service is provided to both internal and external customers. The role will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to gain direct customer experience at the core of our business. Working in our Contact Centre you will gain an understanding of our customer base and experience in delivering excellent customer service. The role will provide the successful candidate with a strong foundation in providing high levels of customer service. Working in a challenging environment you will have the opportunity to expand your knowledge and develop your business acumen through ongoing training.

Reporting to the Customer Services Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Customer

  • Listen and engage with customers to provide excellent levels of customer service in every interaction

  • Demonstrate a professional telephone manner

  • Manage all customer interactions in a timely and accurate manner

Compliance

  • Keep up to date and manage regulatory, operational and administrative procedures for your role

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements in all customer interactions

  • Maintain the high standards required for your role

Team

  • Work effectively as a member of the Customer Services team to deliver excellent customer service.

  • Contribute effectively to all team meetings.

  • Provide team support where possible and proactively participate in Training Sessions.

Key Requirements:

  • Ideally have experience in Life and Pension however candidates that have worked in a similar role in different sectors will be considered.

  • Must have worked in a Contact centre, complaints or face to face customer service role

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Demonstrate initiative and enthusiasm with an ability to learn quickly

  • Strong commitment to providing a first class service to customers

  • Good problem solving skills

  • Planning and organisational skills

  • Accurate with good attention to detail

  • Adopts a flexible and adaptable approach with an enthusiastic attitude

  • Ability to work effectively and calmly under pressure

  • Well organised

  • Embraces change.
