Our client is indigenous to Donegal, and a family owned business, who have been in operation for over 40 years. They are an integral part of the local community and one of the main employers in the local area. They have been making and continue to make original produce since the founding of the Company.
They are a very customer and product focused business with a flat management structure and a “Hands On” approach from MD to shop floor. As a result, all members of the team have a deep understanding of the business and capabilities. This allows a great deal of flexibility and fast decision making which has led to their “Nothing is impossible” attitude.
They currently have a vacancy for a temporary Finance Administrator to join their innovative team for initially a period of 2-3 months.
This role revolves around supporting the existing finance team and duties will include financial processes, planning and reporting.
Main responsibilities will consist of month-end reporting activities and coordination of systems updates including reconciliation.
Support preparation for Monthly, Quarterly and Year End Accounts.
Assist with the design and maintenance of Forecast and Budget reporting.
Provide Senior Management with ad-hoc financial analysis, or support on specific projects.
Support Finance leadership.
The ideal candidate will have recent previous experience working in a similar role type.
Preference would be given to someone with experience of such within a manufacturing /production setting.
You should have a good knowledge of month end processes and P&L and the individual appointed would need to have experience of reporting finances and figures to those above them to be effective.
It is also important to be able to work on your own initiative as well as be part of the team.
You should be able to demonstrate strong accounting skills.
You should have a good basic standard of education to include excellent numeracy skills and a good in-depth knowledge of MS Office Programs such as Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience in the use of professional accounting packages is desired,
Flexibility to work additional hours at critical times (e.g., month end) may be required.
