IBOA The Finance Union – which represents employees in Ireland’s finance and related sectors – wishes to appoint a Lead Organiser – to build the Union’s membership base in an increasingly diverse working environment characterised by major internal structural change as well as significant external challenges.
Reporting to the General Secretary and based in Dublin, the Lead Organiser will be responsible for organising and recruiting new members, primarily in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland – but also in some locations in Great Britain.
The successful candidate will lead an organising team focussed on the research, development and execution of strategic plans aimed at building the Union’s strength in employments where it already has a presence as well as extending the benefits of Union membership to workers in currently unorganised employments.
You should also have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate both Union employees and voluntary activists in support of the Union’s organising objectives.
Remuneration commensurate with responsibilities and experience will be offered to the successful candidate.
