Ulster – 1526805 Ulster University has established an exciting new £11.5M Northern Ireland Centre for Stratified (Personalised/Precision) Medicine and is committed to its development as an area of excellence. The Centre is based at the Altnagelvin Hospital site in the Clinical Translational Research & Innovation Centre (C-TRIC) in Derry/Londonderry. The Centre draws together biomedical scientists, molecular biologists, doctors and computer scientists from academia, the health service and industry in their efforts to better diagnose and treat degenerative diseases including hypertension, diabetes, inflammatory disease, bone disease, neurodegenerative disease/mental illness, cancer and diseases of the eye. We are exploiting whole genome and clinical data to develop the new stratified medicine diagnostics.
