Legal Services Centre – Legal Operations Analyst

You would be joining the LSC at the very beginning, which given the anticipated growth over the next 3 years, will offer successful candidates the ability for accelerated career growth.
Under the supervision of a more senior member of Operations and System Law, this role will be responsible for the administration of the Operations and Systems Law group’s Law Contracts Database, including, but not limited to:

(i) Population and maintenance of the Law Contracts Database with in-process and completed matters.
(ii) Sending reminders generated by the contracts database to appropriate business and functional unit contacts and following up with same as to contract events, renewals and terminations.
(iii) Tracking and reporting on discounts and savings achieved by the Operations and Systems law Group in vendor agreement negotiations.
(iv) Maintenance and generation of periodic and ad hoc reports from data contained in the Contracts Database as requested by members of the Operations and Systems Law Group.
(v) Other assignments & projects as requested by members of the Operations and Systems Law Group.

Essential Criteria:

•BA/B.S., preferably in business, law or information technology;
•Contract analyst, contract project management, paralegal or similar experience in contracts with law firm or corporation;
•The candidate will be required to skilfully and accurately draft reports, documents, understand and work well with various databases such as excel, access, lotus notes and draft contract documents that accurately reflect business points;
•The candidate will be required to balance multiple projects simultaneously, always moving projects forward and keeping Operations and Systems Law staff advised of status;
•The candidate must have excellent written and oral communications, work well with attorneys and information technology and all business personnel, and be able to effectively communicate in order to understand business deal requirements;
•The candidate must be able to work in a high volume, fast paced environment;
•The candidate must have the ability to identify, analyse and summarize contract terms and conditions; and
