Cpl are working with a leading clothing company based in County Donegal, Ireland to appoint a Menswear Designer.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a designer to experience working with one of Ireland’s most prestigious and well established brands. The successful candidate will be involved in the entire process from concept to shop floor and will be expected to have a high level of commercial and business awareness.
The Role :
We are seeking to speak with experienced confident designers who can demonstrate an ability to show creativity and originality in their work whilst respecting the integrity of the brand.
The appointee will be responsible for designing and sourcing coats and casual jackets, trousers/chinos, casual and formal shirts, polos/sweats and knitwear. They will be expected to be involved in the whole process from concept to sale to key markets in Ireland, the UK and the EU.
The design process will include adherence to the Critical Path, liaising with relevant Departments including Merchandising, Production Planning and Marketing and the incumbent will be responsible for setting up Tech Packs and Bills of Materials.
The successful candidate will design and source new seasonal product. Knowledge of garment detailing and construction is very important as well as technical knowledge of fabrics used across the collection. Knowledge of technical specifications, pattern cutting, costing and pricing would be an advantage.
– Relevant professional qualification
– Good understanding of menswear
– 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
– Working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign.
– Experience working with a similar Irish brand
