A great opportunity to manage a territory of customers delivering to agreed budgets and targets in the area of volume, mix, margins, credit, prospecting and new business development. You must be able to provide a reliable and consistent develop and maintain relationships with customers. Manage the retention and growth of existing customers. Win new business through effective prospecting and management of Business Opportunities.
Ensure an effective and comprehensive communication network is established and operating to provide the business with timely and accurate information about matters of relevance to our commercial activities.
You will excel in developing effective links across the business, especially Customer Service, Technical, Credit, Procurement, Marketing and Operations personnel. Manage delivery of Volume, Gross Margin, Perfect Invoice and Credit performance targets.
Ensure prompt action is taken to resolve issues including credit risks, quality issues, management of new accounts, lost business.
Report monthly on the achievements to the sales plan to Business Unit Manager, including a forecast of next month’s activity.
Ensure effective and efficient management of all administrative requirements of customers within the territory.
Manage sector customers and ensure all relevant information is communicated effectively to the business in a timely manner .
Manage territory budgeting and forecasting processes in line with business requirements.
Commercial experience within B2B trading environment
Strong track record of delivery of commercial targets
Good negotiation skills
Proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships
Evidence of ability to influence non-commercial functions
Numerate and commercially astute
Good verbal, written and presentational skills
Effective time management
Basic IT skills
Effective territory planning and preparation
Evidence of courageous, inventive, driven and straightforward behaviors
Desired Skills and Experience
We are looking for an individual who has some national account experience along with, excellent national account management experience. Meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to question and listen – ability to adapt communication styles. Tenacity when dealing with customers issues along with a good retention of product and procedural knowledge. Have a high level of negotiation and Influencing skills and have exceptional effective time management of daily / weekly / monthly tasks.
You must be computer Literate, have strong excel skills along with having some commercial Knowledge
