You will also play a significant role in developing a competitive product range and ensuring the necessary internal capability exists to maximise profit margin. Key responsibilities include: To proactively identify suitable commercial opportunities and to convert these into new strategic partnerships; To analyse the specified food markets within B2B and B2C categories. Develop and implement an agreed market strategy to drive profitable growth of the Dale Farm whey business; To professionally and effectively manage key accounts to maximise sales and account profitability building long term relationships, ensuring high levels of customer care and satisfaction and that customer and market requirements are clearly identified and communicated throughout the business; To monitor customer/consumer needs, market trends and developments ensuring product offerings are competitive, viable for efficient/profitable manufacture, initiating timely product and process innovation to ensure pipeline of new products and rejuvenations. Liaise with Group Marketing, Group manufacturing and technical teams as necessary to achieve this; Monitor markets and pricing for all whey derivative products including the preparation to ensure achievement of agreed margins and targeted profitability; Effectively manage commodity risk through ongoing analysis of market conditions; To collate sales & market data/trends and market intelligence providing reports/updates as necessary to all relevant staff ensuring that the whey business unit is intelligence led and well informed.
