The successful candidate will be required to provide technical support, monitor, optimise and ensure full compliance with existing processes in the facility.
Evaluate new process technology to determine feasibility for pilot and full scale manufacturing. Lead and manage all aspects of new process introduction into the manufacturing facility. Determine necessary equipment modifications to support new processes and/or to improve current processes.
The appointee will ensure the improvement of machine and production efficiency focussing on outputs, defects and changeovers.
Ensure that there is full compliance with regulations.
Continually monitor production process to identify areas of improvement.
Provide technical support, including process and equipment troubleshooting.
Be able to lead on lean manufacturing techniques in relation to new and existing production processes.
Evaluate and approve proposed equipment and process technology changes and assess impact to affected processes.
Act as Project Leader for new processes and work closely and effectively with all departments
Establish emergency shutdown procedures and safe operating limits for the process.
Ability to set production level according to customer needs
Take part in process safety and quality incident investigations. Provide input/feedback for process and quality deviations.
The candidate must be available around the clock for start-up coverage, processing questions, and general troubleshooting.
