Procurement Manager – Construction
Who you’ll be working for:
A long established, successful Civil engineering company, working on various construction projects across Ireland, including flood defense schemes, bridge realignments, water supply schemes, road upgrades and improvements, with values up to €40,000,000 in single project value, currently have an opportunity for an experienced Procurement Manager to join them within there head office in Co Meath.
What you’ll need to have:
The successful candidate will either have 4+ years experience in a procurement/ category management/ buying role, within a construction related environment. Or the successful candidate will be a site engineer or site manager, with a strong commercial focus interested in moving into an office environment.
Successful applicants will have a construction related degree, experience of working within the construction industry, within a civil engineering capacity, with well developed negotiation skills and a proven track record of procurement success.
What you’ll be doing:
Working on large civil projects, you will take control of the procurement process from the tender stage through to the completion of each project, sourcing and negotiating on construction materials and plant for various projects.
- Provide an appropriate level of construction buying, negotiation, procurement expertise across the company
- Provide leadership, from tender stage through to project completion
- Prepare PQQ and ITT documents.
- Evaluating tender submissions.
- Providing contract award recommendations
- Managing the end to end formal tender process.
- Applying a whole life costing approach to ensure value for money.
