Purchasing and Assistant Supply Chain Manager
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the management and execution of all the site’s purchasing strategies along with providing assistance in the smooth operation of the Supply Chain Department by acting as the Deputy Supply Chain Manager. Exact responsibilities will depend on the candidate’s experience, abilities and their development plan.
• Manage all aspects of procurement, supplier management, purchasing and supply of materials and services in line with the company’s strategies.
• Responsible for sourcing and negotiating all price / contract agreements for new and existing materials / services.
• Manage, maintain and report on supplier compliance / performance based on cost, quality and service.
• Assist in the management of the Supply Chain department in areas such as capacity planning, warehousing, distribution and customer service.
Skills, Competences and Behaviours:
o Educated to a 3rd level degree within a supply chain discipline
o Experience working within the FMCG sector
o Skilled in the art of negotiation and communication
o High standard in numeracy is a must
o Excel proficiency essential with a knowledge of Sage or an ERP system is desirable
