Contract role 6 months + (Possible extension/Perm role for the right person)
Salary circa €18,000-€22,500 PA Pro rata
We are currently working with a leading FMCG company and due to a surge in their workload we urgently require applications from interested and suitable candidates to join their team as a Quality Controller.
Key Duties/Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
Daily Checks on the floor including metal detection verification, weight verification, correct packaging used, correct date coding information used and quality checks on final product to include colour texture and size.
Collection and retention of samples for use in investigation of customer complaints and shelf analysis this will be for every production run.
Collection of samples for microbial and nutritional analysis under the direction of the QA supervisor.
Monitoring Factory Hygiene and GMP on a daily basis.
Issuing and following up non-conforming issues to ensure effective close out and ensure that data is available for trending and improvement.
Collation of data regarding environmental conditions such as temperatures for trending and statistical control purposes.
Swabbing of machinery and employees to ensure cleaning is effective under direction of QA supervisor.
Collection and monitoring of factory floor paperwork to ensure completion.
The successful candidate will require:
· A Food science qualification and significant experience in a relative role.
· Good understanding of manufacturing capabilities, products, process flows and HACCP systems.
· A personal pride and confidence to carry out the job.
· Must have an interest in food and be self-motivated with an inquiring mind.
· Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
· Sufficient technical and written skills to perform the job.
· Fluent in English.
· Attention to detail and ability to solve problems.
· Capable of growing with company and in time to take on more responsibility, including leading projects.
