Restaurant Assistant Manager
Our client is a very successful local business with an extremely busy and highly popular restaurant. Due to ongoing expansion and continued success they wish to add a customer focused and extremely outgoing assistant Restaurant Manager to their team.
This position will involve assuming full responsibility for the day to day management of this busy eaterie. Working with the General Manager you will lead the team to deliver a first class customer experience and a high level of quality food.
Key Duties/Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas.
Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, food hygiene best-practice and legislation.
Responsible for ensuring consistently high quality of food preparation and service.
Maintain professional restaurant image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards.
Estimate food and beverage costs.
Estimate food needs, place orders with distributors, and schedule the delivery of fresh food and supplies.
Overseeing all staff to ensure they deliver on customer expectation in the Managers absence
Any other duties as and when required.
Candidates must possess previous experience in a supervisory or managerial post within a busy restaurant environment.
Candidates must possess strong communication skills with the ability to deliver outstanding customer service and lead the team to do the same.
The ideal candidate will also possess experience in a busy kitchen preparing food in the capacity of a cook/ chef.
