Service Desk Manager

My client have been getting a lot of media attention recently due to their recent expansion plans and the highly interesting nature of their work. They have made a number of hires and are now looking for an experienced senior manager to join the team and set up their service desk environment.

It’s a rare opportunity to build your own environment and really have a massive influence on the future progress and direction of the company. My client need people who are passionate about what they do. The technical team has been built by Best in Class’ engineers who have really bought into the company and want to make this start-up as good as it can possible be!

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other relevant discipline. Masters/PhD’s would be desirable.
  • Extensive knowledge of ITIL process design and implementation.
  • Excellent Service desk management skills.
  • Previous experience of building a service desk environment from scratch.
  • Previous experience in a start up would be a bonus.
  • ITIL V3 Cert.
  • ISO 27001 experience is preferred.

You will need to still be someone who likes to work hands on technically within a role. You will have 2 direct reports, but like all senior management within this company, you’ll need to be hands on and ready to troubleshoot and manage issues when necessary.
