Our client is a specialist organisation working in a very niche industry and have a team of very experienced staff working with specific technology. They are a provider of digital solutions specifically designed for this industry.
The company exploits opportunities for new technology that will improve service delivery and communication in their sector and have developed products and services for their industry such as utilising mobile technology, focussing on real time information and analytics to understand issues and trends. Their business depends on cutting edge technology to stay competitive.
Using programming languages and source code, a Software Developer will work within a small highly focused team to develop both existing and new solutions, using a range of mobile technologies. The role encompasses the analysis, design, creation, testing, documentation and maintenance of new and amended programs to meet and exceed our customer requirements.
Responsibilities – (Key Areas):
To design, code, test, debug and document components/modules of a system.
To input into the design and development process for solutions using existing and new technologies.
To scope and create test plans and test data, mapping back to requirements, and to maintain the integrity of the test environment.
Devising possible solutions to anticipated problems.
To ensure adherence to agreed project time-scales and deliverables.
To provide regular project status updates as and when required.
To manage customer calls, support issues and ensure customer requirements are followed up and delivered.
To participate in all aspects of the project life cycle as and when required.
Job Requirements – (Knowledge, Skills, Experience):
The ideal candidate will have a Computer Science degree and a solid educational background coupled with experience in a software development environment. (ideally 3 years +)
You should have experience of a range of technologies, with particular technical proficiency in mobile app development AND experience in RDMS and case tools with strong architecture experience would be advantageous.
It would be beneficial if you have experience in workflow solutions, business process management, order management and financial applications AND experience in agile development methodologies
